Surface
There's been a lot of talk recently about Microsoft's new developments in touch screen software and technology. Some of it seems cool, some of it seems kind of impractical. The type of thing I'm talking about can be seen here and is talked about a bit here. I just hope there's actual substance behind it rather than stupid applications and greasy computer screens. Really, this is some cool stuff, but I'm looking forward to seeing what innovations make it cheaper and easier to use.

Motorcycle Recovery
This is cool. There is enough centripetal force to keep this bike upright long after the dude has fallen off.

How fast can you climb 400ft?
Without a rope...
Yes, he's clearly a bit crazy. He kept going bigger but eventually went a bit too big.

Bust a Move
Another goldie from Digg (where I get most of this stuff from) - if this is real this is pretty damn funny. The lengths salespeople will go to...

Earthquake warnings?
Next time you see colorfully glowing clouds, brace yourself. A rare (and perhaps scientifically unproven) phenomenon has been seen to precede a few earthquakes historically, with the recent one in Sichuan as an example.
Potential explanations are available here, with the video available here.
Could be totally circumstantial and more like a rainbow phenomenon, but if it is a true reflection of electrical charge from an earthquake, perhaps it could lead to more detection mechanisms?

Car Crash
I have always had a hard time buying the government's reasons to not allow some electric cars on the roads. That goes as well for many SUV owners who seem to think that massive vehicles are the only safe vehicle for the roads. I have heard many people remark that something like a SMART car is a death trap. This video should be a testament to good engineering in a small vehicle. Granted - crashing a car is dangerous. No matter what car you're in, you may die if you crash at high speeds. But this shouldn't be the reason to prohibit efficiency on the roads.
Music Montage #2
Another remix (this time of a freak-out by Bill O'Reilly). I find these really funny.

Physics Question
Ok, I officially have internet now so I should be able to post with more regularity.
Today's question: will a boomerang work in zero gravity? Think about it...
Then watch the vid.

Sorry - lack of postings recently due to my move and lack of internet for a few days.
Once I get internet, I'm considering joining Facebook, although this video gives me second thoughts...

One of the darkest forms of humour. But still funny...

More crazy nature stuff
The realism of an eagle carrying a goat is about the same to me as a pig flying. Check out this vid (especially the last few minutes).
Or what about a deer.
Crazy.

Creative Commons
Larry Lessig gives a great talk over at TED about the need for creative freedom in our intellectual property laws. He shows a few good examples there, but I thought this video was a hilarious, random, and amazing example of what he means.

Planet Earth
Planet Earth is among the most amazing nature documentaries I have ever seen. So I was surprised and enlightened when I found out exactly what the animals featured in it were saying.

Unnecessary Censorship
Wow - it has been almost a week since my last post. Things have been busy. Sorry I have been so inconsiderate and taken away a source of entertainment for hundreds, no, millions of you. I was busy #$&%ing myself.

Yo
I sometimes think that our attention goes to the foreground to often, forcing us to miss out on funny stuff happening in the background whether it's funny contraband from a drug bust
a Korean drummer, or some drunk dude...
Yes I know this posting is terrible.

Sascha Baron Cohen
He is, in my opinion, one of the funniest dudes alive. Some clips I have come across: deleted scene from Borat, interview with Posh and Beckham, or as his next movie character, Bruno (not as funny... yet).

Chimps can play Pacman, Dolphins can blow bubble rings and Elephants can draw themselves. And they are way better at all of these things than I am.

Earth Hour
Have you heard yet? Yes, the planet is melting.
I'm actually looking forward to Earth Hour - turn off your lights at 8pm on the 29th for one hour and help draw people's attention to climate change.
You can find more information here and you can sign-up here.

Oprah...
Wow. I was looking for good Oprah clips (is that an oxi-moron?) and I stumbled across some seriously disturbing footage of the unthinkable... yes, I am sorry to report... Oprah has been murdered! Tom Cruise killed her.
I can't believe he would do that to someone who helped so many people.

For now, ever wonder what YouTube's most viewed clip ever is?
